Meals and accommodations at the Laramie River Dude Ranch are all on the American plan.  We charge per person and everything is included in that price.  Only our overnight camping trip which a few folks can choose each week carries an extra charge.

Lodge and cabin accommodations are not priced differently.  Activities are all included.  You can put your cash away and enjoy yourself.

Gratuities and tips are often added to a dude ranch bill, but not at the Laramie River Dude Ranch.  The only addition to the rate you were quoted will be sales tax.

Meals

Outside activities and the fresh mountain air encourage healthy appetites. Whether it's on the trail or at the ranch, meals are an event at the Laramie River Dude Ranch.

Our cooks and bakers prepare generous portions of homemade breads and desserts, fresh salads, fruits and vegetables, and delicious entrees which will keep you coming back for more.  We are happy to accommodate special diets with advance notice and vegetarian alternatives are available at every meal.

Delicious treats from our baker.

The dining room provides views of the snow-capped Rawah peaks and the Laramie river. Tables accommodate eight so there is ample room for larger families.  Our crew eat with our guests so even if you are vacationing alone, you will find yourself surrounded with new friends.

"I have to say that although the riding was fantastic, the scenery stunning, and the company the best, we will long be recounting the different and totally delicious desserts we had each mealtime!"

Beautiful views, good company, and mouth watering food.
Make new friends.

In keeping with informal, western tradition, meals are served family style.

"The whole LRR team was so friendly that we really felt like being at home.  Your food is amazing!!!  Martin says that he will have a hard time to get down to his former weight"

Accommodations

The Lodge

Our historic lodge was built in the late 1880's with a spacious living room, beautiful stone fireplace and a dining room which overlooks the Rawah peaks.  It is pictured below in the 1950's when the ranch was known as the UT Bar Ranch.  The UT Bar hosted guests from across the country and around the world from 1937 to 1971.

The lodge today.

Our lodge maintains the charm of the old structure while providing guests with the modern comforts we have all come to expect including private bathrooms, climate controls in each room, and handicapped accessibility.

The "great room" is a favorite place for playing cards, reading books, and relaxing in front of the fireplace.  There are ample public spaces for guests to mingle with each other and with the staff.

You'll find ample room to relax and unwind.
Comfort and charm.
Guest rooms in the lodge are great if you like more community than a private cabin can offer.  You can read quietly by the fire when everyone else has gone off to bed or come down to the kitchen for an early cup of coffee or tea.  There are four rooms downstairs and three upstairs.  Each has its own unique character - some are small and cozy while others are larger and can accommodate whole families.  Daily maid service leaves you more time to get out and enjoy the west.

The Cabins

Five historic log cabins provide the balance of the accommodations at the Laramie River Dude Ranch.  One and two bedroom units are scattered on the bank of the river and along LaGarde Creek just across the walking-bridge from the lodge.  Originally constructed of materials cut from local forests, these cabins recall a time when pioneers literally built their homes by hand.

The cabins provide modern comforts similar to those found in the lodge.  Fresh flowers and your own personal cookie jar are freshened daily when your rooms are cleaned.  Each cabin has a comfortable screened-in porch in which to relax or entertain friends.

Your cookie jar is bottomless!

Our one-bedroom units have one built-in queen and one built-in twin bed.  They are quite comfortable for couple and families with just one child.  Our two-bedroom units have one room with two built-in twins and a second room with a king bed.  With advance notice we can reconfigure the second room to have two twin beds as well.

"Thanks for the ride of a lifetime.  Your operation is an exceptional statement of excellence from the stable to the kitchen, right down to the cabins.  Thanks for helping us to 'stop and smell the sage'."
