Activities
Vacations are supposed to be fun!
In addition to horseback riding, we provide a range of activities for families, adults, and kids and let you decide
how to spend your day.
You may prefer to stake out a spot on the porch to read a book.
It's up to you.

Our naturalist program provides families with numerous
activities to share - hikes, birding, wild flowers, star gazing, orienteering, and more.
Other programs allow kids to leave their parents and go off to explore some aspect of the
west with a responsible guide. Adults are welcome, but not required.

"We have had an unbelievable week. Special thanks
to Chad for his many lessons in compassing, his nature hikes, tie dying, roping, beavers,
and animal tracking."

Just ask and one of our experienced
ranch hands will teach you how to swing a rope.
The river is an enticing place to play on warm
afternoons. The swimming hole behind our lodge is a favorite. It's deep
enough for a swim, or a float in an inner-tube. And the hot tub is just
a few feet away if you want to follow your swim with a warm soak.
And if you are looking for some
white water excitement, check out Rocky Mountain
Adventures. They offer river raft trips on various rivers around Colorado.
Our location makes a raft trip during your stay one long day. So we suggest you plan
a trip for the morning of the day you arrive, the afternoon of the day you leave, or for
another day before you visit the ranch. Our guests have had nothing but good things
to say about the folks at RMA. Call them at 800-858-6808 to make your arrangements.

At least once a week evening entertainment comes to the
Laramie River Dude Ranch. It could be a cowboy picking on his guitar - and the audience, or it could be
a fiddle player. It could be a cowboy poet. It's always fun for the whole family.

Square dancing is alive and well at the
Laramie River Dude Ranch.
Everyone is invited including our crew. No experience necessary - the more
mistakes we make the more fun we're going to have!! |

Old time photos are one way LRR helps you to remember your trip. It's all in the props, of course, and we have all
sorts including a fine array of feather boas for the ladies.

Kids get a chance to spend time exploring the
outdoors. Our location provides numerous opportunities for poking around.
"The staff could not have been more
friendly and were wonderful with our children." |
